About Raghav Kaushal

Raghav is a computer science student fascinated by the intersection of information science, knowledge graphs, and human–computer interaction. SourceLens is his exploration of a single idea: that the tools we use to read the web should help us think more clearly, not just consume faster.

The project spans browser engineering, NLP-inspired heuristics, graph analysis, and interface design — built end to end as a study in how technology can serve digital literacy rather than undermine it.

Why SourceLens Was Built

We consume more information than any generation before us, yet we are rarely given tools to evaluate its quality. SourceLens began as a question: what if a browser could quietly show you the structural signals of credibility — the way a researcher reads — without ever telling you what to think? It is an attempt to make critical reading the default, not the exception.

The Future of Information Quality

As AI-generated content floods the web, the scarce resource is not information — it is the ability to judge it. SourceLens treats information quality as infrastructure: something measurable, transparent, and teachable. The future it imagines is one where evidence and sourcing are as visible as a page's headline.

Digital Literacy Mission

Tools should make people smarter, not more dependent. Every score in SourceLens is paired with an explanation, and the Information Literacy Center exists to turn moments of analysis into lasting skills. The goal is a more discerning reader, not a more passive one.

Information Science Inspiration

SourceLens draws on information science, evidence hierarchies, knowledge graphs, and human–computer interaction research. It borrows the rigor of academic sourcing and the clarity of well-designed software to make evaluation feel effortless.

Transparency Statement

SourceLens provides indicators and context — not absolute judgments of truth. Its scores are heuristics, not verdicts, and they can be wrong. It is designed to prompt your own scrutiny, and it will always tell you how a number was produced.

Research Vision

The long-term vision extends to academic paper analysis, PDF research workflows, multi-language analysis, and collaborative research workspaces — an open infrastructure for information quality that institutions and individuals can build upon.
